BYLAWS

ARTICLE I

BOATERS’ CLUB BUSINESS

1. The boating year shall be from January 1 to December 31.

ARTICLE II

DUES

1. The dues of the GATLING POINTE YACHT CLUB BOATERS’ CLUB shall be an amount recommended by the Executive Board annually and ratified by the majority of the regular membership at the next monthly meeting.  Proxy procedures will be made available for dues votes.

2. Dues shall be payable by regular and associate members on or before January 31 and shall be collected by the Treasurer.

3. New members joining between January 1 and June 30 shall pay full dues; those joining between July 1 and December 31 shall pay half dues.

ARTICLE III

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

REGULAR AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS.  For purposes of maintenance of membership in good standing, Regular and Associate Members are expected to attend a minimum of two regular member meetings annually or participate in one Spring project/cleanup every two years. 

 LEAVE OF ABSENCE.  Members may request Leave of Absence status from the Commodore in the event of extenuating circumstances.
